Suddenly it slammed into the barn wall when the friends watched TV on Tuesday night.

ÅMLI: – We are sitting 20 meters from the county road here and saw that the cars came with more and more snow on. Suddenly we heard only “bang”!
Ingeborg Espeland and a friend had just been out for a walk with the dog and sat down to watch TV when the accident happened.
A car drove off the road and thundered straight into the barn wall at Simonstad, which is located between Tvedestrand and Åmli.
– It was a bit of a parking lot, Espeland says to Fædrelandsvennen.
She ran out to see what had happened and so quickly that the driver was safe.
– He had already managed to notify the police, so it was reassuring to see.
Agderposten mentioned the incident first.
Invited the driver in for coffee
The male driver was taken into the heat by Espeland who provided coffee and a warm environment after the frightening incident.
– The car stopped at the barn bridge which fortunately is quite short, so it was luck that it did not fall down from there. Then the outcome could have been different, she says.
It has snowed heavily in the area during the evening.
– The driver has probably had a bit of luck, because the car is almost hanging in the air, says operations manager Knut Odde in Agder police district and adds that the driver himself reported.
According to both the police and homeowner Espeland, the car is not the first to crash into the barn wall.
– There are very demanding driving conditions on the stretch tonight, Odde states.
Bilberger is on his way to remove the car on Tuesday night.
The police have questioned the driver and opened a case after the incident.
