A car crashed into a vending machine and a refrigerated display case on a busy boulevard near the University of Economics in Varna, BNT reported. No people were injured.
The incident happened in the afternoon around 15:40. The car has a Burgas registration and was traveling along “Knyaz Boris Parvi” Boulevard in the direction from “Golden Sands” to the city center.
The driver, who is 41 years old, lost control of the car with which he knocked down a street lamp before crashing into the refrigerator display case. There is also a bus stop near the incident. Miraculously, no one was injured.
The driver has minor injuries. After a hospital examination, he was released for home treatment. His alcohol test was negative, the police in Varna reported. A drug test was also done, which is not ready yet.
“Thank God it’s Saturday and there aren’t any university students. It’s empty here because I’m getting goosebumps talking about it right now, but the guy was literally going to sweep and kill all the people that were here. Pure luck that no one was hurt,” said Ivan Atanasov, an eyewitness.
