NEW YORK — Seven people were injured after a car collided with an MTA public bus in Brooklyn on Tuesday afternoon, according to the New York City Fire Department.
Officials received a call about the incident around 2:01 p.m.
The collision took place near the corner of Avenue N and McDonald Avenue. Firefighters managed to remove the trapped occupants from the bus and car.
The seven injured were transported to area hospitals, with no descriptions available of their injuries.
Law enforcement sources say police were alerted by a person who claims to have seen someone with a gun. Police chased the person who was identified and sped away from the scene, crashing into the MTA bus.
