In addition to the battery coming overdue and breaking down, if it is on continuously it will damage the cabin light casing. So that over time the cabin light casing will turn yellow and black due to continuous heat exposure.

So what causes the car cabin lights to turn off? Check out the complete information below:

The sliding mechanism of the cabin light switch is broken

The cause generally occurs due to the failure of the sliding mechanism on the light switch. Usually the plate that functions as a switch is bent and inelastic. So that when shifting, the plate remains attached and the electric current remains on. This results in the cab lights turning on continuously and eventually going out. Extra attention is needed to check it because it can cause a short which can make the cabin light fuse blown.

DOOR Switch Rusak

The existence of one of the door switches shorting will cause the car cabin lights to turn off. Door switches are usually installed on the sides of the door pillars so that when the door is closed the door switch will be depressed. To operate the cabin lights, in general, there are 3 positions, namely On, OFF, and DOOR (or some that say Auto).

The ON switch position means the cab lights are on, if OFF means the cab lights are off. Meanwhile, Auto means that the cabin lights will turn on if one of the vehicle doors is open.

The way this door switch works will cut off the connection with the body / frame so that the current does not flow. When the car door is open, the door switch feature will be connected. Thus, an electric current will flow, then the cab lights can turn on.
