A car accident on the A6, Friday July 28, near Savigny-en-Terre-Plaine (Yonne), had led three people to Dijon hospital. A mother and her two children had been hit by a van. They are now out of danger.
The accident took place on the A6 on Friday July 28, on the A6 motorway, near Savigny-en-Terre-Plaine, on the border between Yonne and Côte-d’Or.
A collision occurred on the left lane around 4 p.m., while slowdowns were underway in the Paris-Lyon direction. Firefighters said the 38-year-old mother and her 12- and 10-year-old daughter and son got out of the vehicle and took cover behind the security barrier. They were then hit by a van while crossing the tracks.
They were transported all three to the Dijon hospital, the mother and the daughter in absolute emergency. Contacted this Monday, the gendarmerie of Yonne specifies that their vital prognosis is no longer engaged. They also indicate that the mother suffers from a broken pelvis, one of the children from a dislocated shoulder, and the last from minor injuries.
The judicial inquiry is now underway. The driver of the van was taken into custody. According to our colleagues from Republican Yonne, he was under the influence of narcotics. The gendarmerie did not wish to confirm this information. The Yonne prosecutor’s office did not wish to give details of the ongoing investigation.
