The driver was under the influence of drugs and does not remember what happened to him

A video clip, documented by surveillance cameras, spread in the street, of a car running over a young man and his girlfriend while exchanging kisses on the sidewalk in Brazil.
The footage showed young Jonathan Ribeiro, 31, and his girlfriend, 26, walking with their dog in Sao Paulo a few days ago, when they suddenly stopped to exchange kisses, when the car collided with them near the gas station.
Ribeiro and his partner were dragged onto the sidewalk before the car came to a stop. The video shows a person speeding towards the car to hinder the escape of its 30-year-old driver before the police arrived.
Subsequently, Ribeiro was transferred to the Campo Limbo Municipal Hospital in Brazil, where he died of his injuries, while his girlfriend suffered a broken shoulder and bruises on her head and legs.
The police officers conducted an alcohol test for the driver, to find out that he was under the influence of alcohol, and an amount of drugs was found inside the car. After being questioned, he told them that he did not remember the incident.
