The alleged murderer of Arley Cuéllar Cuspián, in the Huila municipality of Saladoblanco, was captured in Caquetá. The man was identified as Andrés Custodio Piamba Muñoz, one of the most wanted criminals in Huila.
The man, who would be responsible for the murder of Arley Cuéllar Cuspián, in the municipality of Saladoblanco, was captured by the Police.
This is Andrés Custodio Piamba Muñoz, alias ‘Caquetá’, who was hiding in the municipality of San José del Fraguá, in the neighboring department of Caquetá.
The location of the subject was achieved following the monitoring work carried out by members of the Criminal Investigation Section (Sijin), of the Police in Huila, who informed their colleagues in Caquetá.
“The SIJIN officials in Huila followed Custodio’s steps and, after discovering that this person, in order to evade the action of the authorities, is living in the municipality of San José del Fragua, they began coordinating with the Police of Caquetá,” said Lieutenant Colonel Julio Hernando Guerrero Rojas, commander of the Police in Caquetá.
The uniformed officers immediately carried out an operation and moved to the Villamaría neighborhood, in the town of Caqueteña, where he lived after fleeing Huila. “The officials managed to capture him at a time when he was trying to escape through the patio of a house located there,” said the officer.
Piamba Muñoz, alias ‘Caquetá’, was left at the disposal of the authority that requested it and thus appear to conclude the criminal investigation “that allows us to clarify the circumstances that caused this unfortunate event that leaves a family in mourning,” said Colonel Guerrero Rojas.
The crime
According to the investigations, Piamba Muñoz would be responsible for the death of Cuéllar Cuspián, which occurred on the night of Sunday, October 23, 2022.
The crime occurred in the Oritoguaz village, when the victim was sharing with some acquaintances inside a cockpit.
According to witnesses to the fight, the man went out with another subject, who minutes later attacked him with a knife.
In the Cuellar Cuspián confrontation, he received two such wounds, one in the upper right abdominal region and another in the lower left chest. Residents of the sector who found him bleeding, helped him and took him to the Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes Hospital in the municipality.
Due to the severity of his injuries, he died minutes later.
