President Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky calling on his country’s military forces to capture more soldiers Russia. Zelensky said he would make it easier exchange of prisoners with Russia, with the result that more Ukrainian troops are liberated from Moscow.
As reported ReutersOn Tuesday (10/18/2022), Zelensky released the statement in his last speech on Monday evening (10/17) local time, hours after the resumption of prisoner exchanges between Ukraine and Russia. A total of 218 prisoners were released, including 108 Ukrainian women.
“I am grateful to everyone involved in this success and I am also grateful to all who integrated our trading capital, which ensured the capture of the enemy,” Zelensky said in his statement.

“The more Russian prisoners we have, the sooner we can free our heroes. Every Ukrainian soldier, every front-line commander should remember that,” he said.
In a separate statement, Ukrainian presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak said there were 12 civilians among Ukrainian women freed from Russia.
“It was the first all-female (detained) exchange,” Yermak wrote in a statement via Telegram.
He added that the 37 freed women had previously been arrested when Russian forces took control of the Azovstal steel mill in Mariupol in May.
