The new football game from Bandai Namco just got out. Beyond his generous fan service , Captain Tsubasa : Rise of New Champions is a rather complicated game to take in hand, liable to give a hard time, in story mode as in multiplayer. Then discover in our solution complète de Captain Tsubasa : Rise of New Champions all our basic tips to shine from your first matches!
Learn to dribble
In this new opus of Captain Tsubasa, there is two ways to dribble : with the classic acceleration button (R on consoles) and with the button dedicated to dribbling (R2 / ZR). The tutorials are not very clear and, once in a match, you will often get caught without really understanding why.
–
It’s all about timing . When a defender rushes at you (with R), watch your player’s feet and press the dedicated dribbling button during the last touch of the ball before impact . It may seem obscure said like that, do not panic, everything will become clearer in a real situation. Once you figure out the timing, dribbling will become a habit. But you won’t find it if you don’t look for it, so Train yourself ! No matter which angle you get attacked from, the dribble will always pass if you act at the right time (which is, let’s remember, the “last moment”).
On the other hand, your dribbles never pass under two conditions:
If the defender does not run and stands on both legs more than a step away from you ;
If the defender has already initiated a tackle . When you get tackled, it is imperative to to dodge by putting a boost (R) on the side. Otherwise, the ball is lost.
In summary , use the dribble key to pass the running defenders. The rest of the time, stick to regular acceleration, especially if a tackle is already initiated. Finally, don’t overdo the dribbling if you are not in the right timing, this is the best way to lose the ball stupidly.
In attack: the technique of “dribbling / dribbling / shooting”
After 2 or 3 short passes you should have given the ball to a striker or a great midfielder (like Tsubasa in person for example). From there, don’t bother anymore, you have to do more or less always the same thing: two dribbles and a shot . Once the second defender has passed, there is a mini cutscene . You will notice that after this cutscene, a small halo surrounds your player. This halo means that your player benefits from a huge boost in “technique”, which allows him to charge your shots much faster . Don’t ask yourself a question and shoot. It is unlikely to pass but the goal is not to score, only to weaken the goalkeeper with a special shot .
–
After a few sequences of dribble / dribble / shoot (about 4), the goalkeeper opposite ends up having lost about three quarters of his energy. There, all you have to do is sneak into the area with one last dribble / dribble / shot and it’s in the pocket.
Three remarks:
Try to activate Zone V when the opposing goal has less than 50% of its energy and that is a guaranteed goal. Zone V dramatically improves all of your team’s stats. With it, you can start from midfield and easily pass 4 players before unleashing a powerful shot from the penalty area.
If you don’t shoot immediately after the second dribble (because you’re too far from the goal or a defender is blocking you, for example), you can still accelerate. But if you pass the ball or dribble a new player it will negate your technique boost . Clearly, this means that after a third dribble, it is imperative to do a fourth to be able to take advantage of the technique boost again. It is often even more profitable to turn around to dribble twice the same defender rather than attempting to charge a shot without a boost.
The goalkeepers regain a lot of energy after half-time and after conceding a goal. Keep this in mind to know when it pays to take more risk.
In defense: keep it simple
Like in FIFA, press L to select a new defender. Choose a player who arrives facing the ball . The only times it pays to come in from behind is when you control a particularly fast midfielder like Misugi for example.
–
From there, keep it simple, do not tackle at all costs . The computer does not dribble often, a shoulder strike is almost always enough to take the ball. Reserve the tackle for times when attackers arm a shot or pass . You can also tackle for a dribble if you know the player opposite is an expert (the stars often are).
Play on your best players!
There are plenty of other more or less complicated details, but most of them are not very useful in a match (or even penalizing, we think of strong passes for example). We still have one last basic advice to give: spot the placement of your stars and abuse them . The stats of stars are really superior to those of others. Their special shots often pass in front of energetic goals and their dribbles often pass even if you press a little too early or too late … in short, playing a star gives the impression of being in permanent Zone V .
