Perhaps the MCU’s Sam Wilson will inherit the very special power of his comic book alter-ego.
Did you know ? Sam Wilson aka the MCU’s new Captain America has untapped power on the big screen. In the comics, the latter is indeed endowed with the ability to communicate telepathically with birds. Thus, his sidekick Red Wing is not a robot, but a hawk in flesh and blood. In an interview with Unilad, the screenwriter of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Malcolm Spellman, admitted that the idea of including this very special power had crossed the minds of the show’s team. “We discussed it, but I don’t think anyone in the room felt like there was a right way to do it, you know what I mean?” I don’t know what will happen to Captain America 4. ”
It is true that introducing such a skill in a natural and sensible way would have been quite complicated in the series. Nonetheless, Malcolm Spellman hasn’t entirely ruled out the possibility that this power of Sam Wilson could be brought to the fore in Captain America 4. In the comics, he wasn’t born with it, but allegedly got it after coming into contact with a cosmic cube. The announcement of the development of a fourth opus on Captain America with Sam headlining has thrilled MCU fans, who are already anxious to see him in his new role. Failing to have a season 2 of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, all the questions left unanswered by the series could thus find their answers on the big screen.
