The new Marvel, Captain America 4found its director in the universe Cloverfieldand that’s not very reassuring.
Whereas Thor : Love and Thunder has just landed in the United States and is about to be released in French cinemas, one of the flagship licenses of the MCU, Captain America, is slowly preparing his return for a fourth opus. A somewhat special part since the main character of this Captain America 4 will not be the Avenger Steve Rogers, played several times by Chris Evans, but his very young replacement Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie.
A torch passage which was installed at the end ofAvengers : Endgameand was confirmed by the series Falcon and the Winter Soldier. But no more nonsense on Disney +, now Sam Wilson is about to put on his costume to land at the cinema in a feature film which recently revealed the name of its director in an article from Hollywood Reporter.
“It’s a trap !”
It will be the director Julius Onahwho previously signed the feature film The Girl is in Troublebut also the interstellar turnip The Cloverfield Paradox… Not really reassuring, then, but we are not immune to a nice surprise, his latest feature film, Lucehaving nevertheless attracted a very nice cast composed of Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer and Tim Roth.
Whatever, Captain America 4 will be written by the creator of Falcon and the Winter SoldierMalcolm Spellman, who also recently took charge of the resurrection of the series The prince of Bel-Airversion 2022. He will be accompanied by another of the scriptwriters of the Marvel series, Dalan Musson, who also worked on Iron Sky 2. A small team that will certainly rigorously ensure a certain continuity with Falcon and the Winter Soldier…much to our dismay.

Have on whether Chris Evans will make a comeback as Steve Rogers, death being to Marvel what a mosquito bite is to a T-Rex. The actor recently spoke about it, not rejecting any eventuality. No release date yet for Captain America 4but until we know more, we will have to settle for the fourth film Thorsubtitle, Love and Thunderwhich will land in our French cinemas on July 13th.
