Meet up with friends after work, end the week with a cool drink and live music: The open-air event Cappenberg Live will take place once this year: On Friday, September 1st, from 7 p.m. on the village community square by the fire brigade in Cappenberg, Rosenstrasse 2.
This year, Wilfried Reckers is organizing the event again, after the Cappenberg volunteer fire brigade had taken care of the organization in previous years. For organizational reasons, he took over from the fire department this year, says Reckers, who also organizes similar events in Selm (Selm meets) and Lüdinghausen. The concept is well-known and tried and tested and is set to be revived in Cappenberg this late summer: guests can meet, eat, drink and chat.
In addition, the duo “Die Zwei” will play live from 7 p.m. The event goes until 10 p.m. Admission is free. First of all, Cappenberg should take place live once. “Let’s see what happens,” says Reckers. Autumn will soon begin, and even in summer the weather has not always been on the organizer’s side. However, Reckers could imagine having Cappenberg start live in the summer next year and then maybe planning three dates.

First of all, however, the organizer is hoping for open-air weather on Friday, September 1st. Around 20 degrees and a mix of sun and clouds with possibly a few showers are currently forecast for Cappenberg.
