The feast of San Martino takes place today and tomorrow, Sunday 17th, in the homonymous hamlet of Capo d’Orlando, the penultimate district of 2024 in the Paladin centre. Tonight the characteristic “maccarrunata” returns which had been absent for some years and the church undergoing renovation works has been reopened, with the solemn Holy Mass in the morning, at 10.30 on Sunday and, in the afternoon, procession of the fercolo of the protector of the district. The party is organized by the Maria SS Parish. of Porto Salvo, by the Committee, by the local municipal councilor FABIO COLOMBO and with the patronage of the regional Department of Tourism, Sport and Entertainment. 7pm: Holy Mass;
9pm: Maccarunata di San Martino and live music with Gaetano and Cono Caliò;
9.30 pm: Cabaret show with Antonio Panzica, Zelig area.
SUNDAY 17 NOVEMBER – DAY OF THE PARTY
8 am: Firing of firecrackers;
10.30 am: Solemn Holy Mass;
3pm: Procession of the simulacrum of San Martino through the streets of the district;
Around 5pm: Return of the procession and conclusion of the celebration with the firing of fireworks.
