On Saturday, September 18, in Washington (USA) near the Capitol, where Congress is located, a rally of supporters of the 45th American President Donald Trump began. The police cordoned off the area with fences.
As writes The New-York Times, less than a hundred people came to the rally. The rally was the first significant protest since January 6, when protesters rioted the American capital. As a result of the riots, five people were killed and hundreds were arrested. So today’s rally was titled “Justice for J6”.

People came to the rally with placards, where they supported the participants in the storming of the Capitol, and also called for the release of people who were allegedly illegally detained.
Police surrounded the Capitol with a metal fence and a row of trucks. In addition to the security forces in uniform, the mounted police were again taken to the streets of Washington. Reinforcements from neighboring districts arrived under the Capitol, armored vehicles were visible on the streets. Soldiers of the National Guard from the District of Columbia were brought to full combat readiness.

“Our mission is to ensure safety during this event … We have a plan on how to prevent this or how to stop illegal actions as soon as possible,” said Capitol Police Chief Thomas Munger.
The local police said that few fights were recorded, but the conflicts were resolved. Law enforcers arrested several people, including a man who had a weapon with him.
