Capitalia has received the Bank of Latvia’s permission to operate as a crowdfunding service provider, which will allow it to attract investors throughout Europe, providing wider and more accessible financing for companies in the Baltic countries. Capitalia is the first Latvian loan financing platform that received such a license.
According to Juris Grišins, Capitalia manager: “The work on obtaining the permit has been very important and extensive, taking about one year in total. We are grateful for the responsiveness of the Bank of Latvia during the licensing process. In the coming months, we will actively work to ensure that the operation of our platform complies with all the provisions of the unified regulation and information publication requirements. Also, soon we plan to significantly expand the target audience of the platform’s investors, reducing the minimum investment threshold and offering simple and automatic tools, with the help of which any investor can make investments for the development of companies in our region.”
