Jez Corden of Windows Central said that if you’re a Dead Rising fan, it’s best to stay tuned as Capcom prepares the return of the series. Corden didn’t share many details, but says he’s received word that announcements are on the horizon.
According to him, Dead Rising will return in a new game that will restart the series, and Corden calls the project not a remake, but a reboot. Corden didn’t share any details, just saying it’s a reboot that could be announced soon.
Dead Rising was originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive in 2006 when Capcom started a new zombie series with its own gameplay. As photographer Frank West, you must find items that can be used as weapons and survive in a zombie-infested mall.
You will have to survive for 72 hours, and in order to progress through the story, you will have to help West in his investigation. However, getting through a mall infested with zombies is a big challenge and you need to manage your items and weapons so you don’t become defenseless.
This work, conceived by Keiji Inafune, spawned 3 sequels, and one of them, the third game, can only be played on the Xbox One, Xbox Series or PC console. 2016’s Dead Rising 4 is the latest original release in the series.
