Capcom introduced screenshots and first details of Resident Evil 8 Village | Games

Capcom posted screenshots and revealed the first details of the eighth of the Resident Evil horror series, which will be subtitled Village. Details about the game were told by its producers in a special video message.

The action of Resident Evil Village will unfold a few years after the final of the seventh part. Ethan and Mia have already moved away from the events of Biohazard and live a normal life. The plot of the plot will be the appearance of Chris Redfield – in the preview trailer, he shot Mia.

To find out why Chris killed Mia, Ethan goes to a mysterious snow-covered city where the main events of Resident Evil Village will take place. According to the developers, the city will become an important character in the game, and the emphasis will shift to fights and exploration of the world.

Resident Evil Village is being developed on Capcom’s own engine called RE Engine. It also created Resident Evil 7, remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3, as well as Devil May Cry V.

The producers of the game noted that Resident Evil Village is the eighth number part of the series, despite the fact that its name does not contain the number “8”. This is not a spin-off, and the developers have an appropriate attitude towards it. Read more about the title of the title and the absence of a number in it later.

Separately, the developers focused on one of the key artworks. It depicts something like branches, wings and an embryo. According to the producers, this image contains a lot of information about the title. The studio will report more information about the game in August 2020.

The release of Resident Evil Village is scheduled for 2021. The game will be released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC on Steam.
