Capcom confirms that more remakes of “Resident Evil” are on the way

After the hit remake “Resident Evil 4”, Capcom wants to continue on the same track.

The Japanese gaming company Capcom has confirmed that more remakes of “Resident Evil” games are on the wayreports IGN. Yasuhiro Anpo, the director behind the new version of “Resident Evil 4” briefly answers “yes” to the question if more games are on the way, then he continues:

– We have released three remakes so far and they have all been very well received. Because this enables the games to be made for a modern audience, it’s something that I really enjoy doing. Personally, I love the older games, and we’d love to keep doing more.

But which game is next, the director does not want to reveal. So far, “Resident Evil 2”, 3, and 4 have been remade from the ground up. The first “Resident Evil” got a remake on the Gamecube in 2002, so it might be time for Capcom to put its teeth into it.
