Capcom’s Akuma Arrives Fighting Pass for Street Fighter 6

Introduction

Whenever a new DLC comes to Street Fighter 6, there is always a lead-up event before its release.
Capcom’s latest DLC character Akuma is no exception to this rule.

Akuma Arrives Fighting Pass and New Mode

Capcom recently announced the arrival of the Akuma Arrives Fighting Pass for Street Fighter 6.
The pass is set to release in just a few hours and promises something new for fans.

The Akuma Arrives Fighting Pass offers a plethora of new devil-themed items, including avatar items, stickers, and device backgrounds.
The premium rewards will include Akuma’s classic top knot hair, prayer beads, Cyber Akuma’s wings, and the glowing ten / heaven kanji for the back of avatars.

Alongside these rewards, Capcom will make Street Fighter Alpha 2—unlocked in the new arcade game, and a selection of Ultra Street Fighter 2 songs will be featured as well.
However, what truly caught players’ attention is the new Battle Hub mode called “Giant Attack,” paying homage to Street Fighter 3: 2nd Impact from 1997.

Capcom has not provided any details about this new mode. The trailer only features a teaser of a massive hologram of Akuma within the Battle Hub.
Speculations abound, suggesting that “Giant Attack” could be a powerful raid boss version of Akuma and potentially other characters, requiring multiple players to team up using their customizable avatars.

More specifics about this new game type will be revealed closer to Akuma’s imminent release later this month.
The Akuma Arrives Fighting Pass is scheduled to go live at midnight PT, May 1, with no official end date announced yet, but it is expected to conclude shortly before Akuma’s release on May 22.
