Capaccio Paestum, girls groped in gym: arrested

«It’s unlikely that they misunderstood.». Interpretation of Giandomenico D’Agostino, investigating judge of the Court of Salernowhich ended up in black and white in the order of house arrest against an established taekwondo master Capaccio-Paestum 68 years old, requested by the PM Gianpaolo Nuzzo and carried out at dawn yesterday morning by the agents of the postal police of Salerno. The subject of the sentence reported in the provision by the preliminary investigations judge are three local girls, two eight-year-old twins and a 12-year-old girlwho reported being sexually harassed by their instructor. The serious provisional charge is sexual assault.

Touching that occurs either at the breast or through rubbing at the pelvisbut always in the context of technical activities, especially stretching, and in the presence of all the other students. The alleged events that have shocked the entire city of temples, where the sports expert is very well known and affirmed, date back to the period between between February and May 2023. And the theater would be a municipal gym granted to the association. The parents of the two twins, the first to report, told the officers what they learned from the girls. They crossed the threshold of the Police Headquarters exactly one year ago, in July 2023: the last alleged criminal episodes dated back to three months before.

From there, the substantial investigations that the investigators delegated to the men of the Post Office began. Investigations that required activities in the presence of the accused teacher, defended by lawyers Marco Nigro e Francis Raeli. The little girls reported that another girl, the 12-year-old, had also been groped by the teacher. The eldest of the three offended people confirmed the accusations. The men of the postal police made a first raid on the 68-year-old’s home: a house search aimed at ascertaining the existence of child pornography material in the man’s home and especially on his computer devices. The investigators suspected they would find clues in device: from the reports, on the other hand, a repeated conduct emerged over time. They believed that such alleged morbidity could be found in electronic devices. It did not go like this: the search yielded negative results.

In the meantime, two months ago, the investigating judge D’Agostino presided over the evidentiary incident: during the hearing the injured parties were examined. The results of the questioning have not yet been completed. On that occasion the little girls who reported having been victims of the teacher’s abuse also provided their personal details.three other training partners: according to them, those little girls would also have been the object of equally unwanted attention. The judge has set a new evidentiary hearing, scheduled for September. A sort of acid test.

Lawyers Nigro and Raeli, for their part, have carried out defensive investigations: the core of the party’s activity consists in the collection of counter-testimonies provided by parents of other students. Fathers and mothers who provided an identikit of the teacher at the antipodes of the one that emerged from the reports of the three girls. Clearly they did not convince the prosecutor Nuzzo and the investigating judge D’Agostino, given that at 7 yesterday morning the postal police officers returned to the man’s home again to notify him of the order ordering house arrest. At dawn on a sultry Monday, the investigators conducted a second search: again, they found nothing. To avoid further prolonging the proceedings, the teacher’s defense filed a request for re-examination even before the preliminary hearing, which will most likely take place between tomorrow and Thursday.
