A new scam suggests that Migros or Lidl are offering a free coupon of 180 francs, warns the Vaud cantonal police on Thursday.

The Vaud police are warning the population against a new scam that is currently circulating via Whatsapp messaging and emails. The messages suggest that Migros or Lidl offer a free coupon of 180 francs.
“This is a scam that leads to subscription and / or the theft of personal data such as passwords,” the cantonal police warned on their Twitter account. She encourages those who have fallen into the trap and who allegedly paid money to file a complaint.
She also recalls that in this period of coronavirus pandemic, scams of this type (“phishing”) are increasing.
