Canton of Uri draws attention to fake profile
The “kantonurischweizz” account writes news and entices you with prizes.
A fake profile for the canton of Uri has appeared on Instagram. This writes to people on Instagram and advertises with profits. Among other things, it promises cash and iPhones. As the canton of Uri warns in a press release, there are similarities to the canton’s existing profile.
The fake profile is called “kantonurischweizz”, which differs from the real account “kantonurischweiz” only by the second “z” at the end. The logo of the canton of Uri is being used illegally. In addition, the news stands out due to bad German.
The canton points out that it does not advertise competitions and prizes on social media and asks the population to report fake profiles on the relevant social media. (vb)
