On Saturday February 1 at around 3:25 a.m., a motorist who was traveling on the A16 motorway between Glovelier and Bassecourt (JU) fell asleep near the rest area. His car veered to the right of the road, hit the crash barrier, left, and finally crashed into the center berm. After traveling approximately 170 meters, the driver stopped on the emergency stop lane.
The driver was not injured, according to the cantonal Jura police statement.
The highway had to be closed for more than two hours for the purposes of the intervention. The Roads and Roads department has cleaned the traffic lanes.
The Gendarmerie carried out the usage reports.
