This Sunday, March 8, around 3:15 p.m., the firefighters and the Friborg cantonal police intervened to extinguish a burning vehicle in a parking lot located between two apartment buildings in Châtel-St-Denis (FR).
Local residents and officers on site attempted to extinguish the fire with
fire extinguishers. The intervention of the firefighters of the Veveyse Reinforcement Center made it possible to quickly contain the disaster, according to a press release from the Friborg cantonal police.
At the end of the intervention, two people complained of being bothered by the smoke. A 13-year-old girl was taken over by the paramedics and taken to the hospital. A 28-year-old man went to the hospital on his own for a check-up.
According to the first elements, a technical defect is at the origin of the fire. The vehicle was completely destroyed.
