A spectator present at the competition which took place last weekend at the National Equestrian Center in Bern has tested positive for the coronavirus, report the Bernese authorities.
The 600 spectators of the competition, however, do not need to quarantine themselves, specifies the health directorate of the canton of Bern.

A person who attended the competition organized by the National Equestrian Center of Bern on July 25 and 26 was then tested positive for the coronavirus. The 600 spectators do not need to self-quarantine, the health directorate of the canton of Bern said on Friday.
Contact tracing
Only people in close contact with the infected one have been placed in quarantine. For other participants, the risk is “very low”, according to the statement. In the event of symptoms, however, they should stay at home and contact a doctor.
It is not known when and where the person became infected, according to the equestrian center. “We are happy to have invested time in our concept of protection”, indicates Salome Wägeli, director of the center, quoted in a press release. She is also satisfied with the implementation of contact tracing.
