Cantabria returns to ICU Covid levels from four months ago

SANTANDER, 24 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Cantabria had five Covid admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) this Wednesday, a figure that, with the exception of March 18, had not been reached for four months.

On the second day that the community is at ‘controlled risk’ for coronavirus, it has registered 188 new cases, which is 37 less than on Tuesday; 1,213 in the last week and 2,480 if the previous one is also taken into account. The positivity of the tests carried out is at 16%, one tenth less than the day before.

This Wednesday, Cantabria has 47 hospitalized, one less than the previous day, and two fewer admitted to the ICU, which hosts five.

With these data, the hospital occupancy rate of people with Covid continues at 2.9%, and the seven-day admission rate has risen four tenths, to 8.1%, both remaining at a low level. Health has introduced a new parameter, the rate of hospitalized by Covid, which is at 1.5%, one tenth more than on Tuesday, although it is still at controlled risk.

In the ICU, occupancy has fallen 1.5 points, to 3.5%, a similar percentage to the occupancy of patients by Covid, which has decreased by -0.8%. The income rate remains at 0.2%. All three are at controlled risk level.

Of those admitted, 35 are in the Marqués de Valdecilla Hospital, including the five in the ICU; five in Sierrallana; five in the Laredo Hospital and two in the Reinosa Hospital.

This Wednesday there have been no deaths from coronavirus, with what remains at 811 since the start of the pandemic.

INCIDENCE

The accumulated incidence has registered slight decreases both at 14 days, with 425 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, one less than the day before; like 7 days, in 298 cases, six less.

Both indicators continue at a high risk level, while the contagion trend has dropped to -4%, at controlled risk.

Meanwhile, the incidence in people over 65 years of age has risen to 14 days, with 359 cases –12 more than the day before–, but has dropped to 7 days, with 204 cases, which is 21 less. The two indicators, according to the new measurement system implemented this week by the Ministry of Health, are at low risk.
