SANTANDER, 20 Nov. (PRESS EUROPE) –
Cantabria has detected only seven new Covid-19 infections among people over the age of 60 this Saturday, while the accumulated incidence has decreased slightly, although hospitalizations for the virus have risen to 19.
Specifically, the incidence at 14 days in this segment of the population — the only one for which community transmission data are offered — dropped by two points, settling at 188 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while at seven days it decreased up to 105. cases, four points less than on Friday.
The seven-day cumulative incidence is the indicator in the worst condition, as it is the only one at low risk (yellow level), while the rest continue at a controlled risk level (green), according to data from the Cantabrian Health Service Updated to yesterday’s close.
As regards hospitalizations, the number of people hospitalized for Covid rose to 19, four more than the previous day, with which employment increased by three tenths, to 1.2%. In addition, there are two critically ill patients in the ICU, the same as the day before, with which the occupancy rate in this unit remains at 1.7%.
Of those hospitalized, 13 are in the Marqués de Valdecilla hospital, including two in intensive care; three in Sierrallana and three in Laredo.
No new virus deaths have been added in the last day, with which the total number of victims in Cantabria remains at 998.
