SANTANDER, 29 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Cantabria has registered another death from Covid-19, which brings the total number of fatalities so far during the pandemic in the region to 886, nine of them in the last seven days.
Meanwhile, infections have fallen markedly, with 33 detected among people over 60 years of age on Saturday, and that is almost a hundred fewer than the 128 recorded on Friday.
Faced with this, the number of hospitalized has risen slightly, to 46, which is three more than a day before, of which three are still in the intensive care unit.
29 patients are admitted to the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, including three from the ICU, and there are eleven in the Sierrallana de Torrelavega Hospital, and 6 in the Comarcal de Laredo.
Hospital occupancy due to Covid has risen one tenth, to 2.8%, and remains at low risk, while the seven-day admission rate has also risen in the same proportion, to 13%. In the ICU, bed occupancy remains at 2.1%, and the 7-day admission rate at 0.3%, both are at controlled risk

Regarding the transmission data of the virus, in the last seven days the positives in the older age group, the only one for which data on cases and incidence are offered, have been 704, and in the last 14 days, there have been detected 1,593 cases.
The incidence in people over 60 years of age continues to decline at 14 days, with 910 cases per 100,000 inhabitants; like 7 days, with 402 cases. Both parameters remain at medium risk.
With all these data on community transmission and hospitalization, Cantabria remains at level 1 of risk for coronavirus.
