Cantabria adds another Covid death and eight hospitalized

SANTANDER, 30 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Cantabria has registered another death from Covid-19 this Sunday, which brings the total number of fatalities so far during the pandemic in the region to 887, nine of them in the last seven days. In addition, the number of hospitalized patients has increased by eight and there is one more patient in the Intensive Care Unit, but the incidence continues to decrease, which has dropped from 900 to 14 days and from 400 to seven days, and new cases.

Thus, according to the latest Health data, corresponding to the end of May 29, 31 infections have been detected among people over 60 years of age, two less than on Saturday. In the last seven days there is evidence of 676 new cases, amounting to 1,572 in the last 14 days.

However, the number of hospitalized patients has grown by eight, to 54, with which the occupation has risen half a point, to 3.3%, but the seven-day admission rate has dropped eight tenths, to 12.2%, both at low risk.

In the ICU, where there are five patients, one more than on Saturday, bed occupancy has risen seven tenths, to 2.8%, and the 7-day admission rate remains at 0.3%, both at controlled risk

33 patients are admitted to the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, including four from the ICU, and there are 14 in the Sierrallana de Torrelavega Hospital, and seven in the Comarcal de Laredo.

As for the data on the transmission of the virus, the incidence in people over 60 years of age continues to decline both at 14 days, with 898 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which is 12 less than on Saturday; like 7 days, with 386 cases, which is 16 less. Both parameters remain at medium risk.

With all these data on community transmission and hospitalization, Cantabria remains at level 1 of risk for coronavirus.
