The CanSino Pharmaceutical recommended this Sunday to apply a booster of his vaccine against Covid-19 six months after receiving the first dose, after a study carried out by the company, which has already been delivered to the Mexican health authority.
“Biopharmaceutical company CanSino Biologics (CanSino BIO) reports that it has obtained new, precise and conclusive results that the levels of neutralizing antibodies in its anticovid vaccine remain elevated – by almost 70% – in people, six months after being vaccinated with this unit dose, “the pharmacist said in a statement.
But he pointed out that a second vaccine dose it achieves that the levels of neutralizing antibodies are multiplied by eight.
“A second application of the CanSino vaccine does provide greater protection to those who have received it, and it is safe,” the document said.
He recalled that it continues with phase III of the clinical trials of its biological in Mexico, in which 15 thousand volunteers participate, and as soon as final results are obtained, modifications related to the number of necessary doses of the vaccine will be made.
So far, Mexico has received almost 13 million CanSino dosage of a total of 35 million acquired and, with this drug, the government vaccinated all public and private educational personnel in the 32 states of the country.

Mexico has supplied a total of 71.6 million vaccines of various drugs among its 126 million inhabitants, although only 27.13 have a complete schedule.
In addition to CanSino, the country has committed 34.4 million doses of the American Pfizer, 79.4 million of the Anglo-Swedish AstraZeneca, 24 million of the Russian Sputnik V, 20 million of the Chinese Sinovac, 12 million of the Chinese Sinopharm and 51.4 million from the WHO Covax platform.
