“A second application of the CanSino vaccine does provide greater protection to those who have received it, and it is safe,” said the document.
He indicated that the studies showed that for those who received two injections of inactivated virus vaccines, a third application of the biological as a booster has generated antibody levels “several times higher than the products due to the application as a booster of other doses of inactivated virus vaccines. ”.
He reiterated that his vaccine is “highly safe that provides lasting protection -more than six months-, avoids hospitalization and death in 90% of the people to whom it is applied.”
He recalled that it continues with phase III of the clinical trials of its biological in Mexico, in which 15,000 volunteers from Mexico participate, and as soon as final results are obtained, modifications will be made related to the number of doses required of the vaccine.
So far, Mexico has received almost 13 million doses of CanSino out of a total of 35 million acquired and with this drug, the Government vaccinated all public and private educational personnel in the 32 states of the country.
Mexico has supplied a total of 71.6 million vaccines of various drugs in a country of 126 million people, although only 27.13 have a complete schedule.
