Canon has launched its latest flagship camera, the EOS R3. This full-frame mirrorless camera of the EOS R series comes with the latest excellent features such as Eye Control, Vehicle Priority AF, 30 fps continuous shooting, up to 6K RAW recording.
“The EOS R3 is the go-to camera for professional photographers who need high speed and image quality, as well as robustness for shooting in all terrains. The 24.1-megapixel back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor combined with the DIGIC X processor gives the EOS R3 perfection in speed, accuracy and image quality. The camera’s Electronic Shutter is capable of shooting in continuous shooting mode at up to 30 fps at full resolution, even when the AutoFocus (AF) and Auto Exposure (AE) tracking features are still active.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology provides outstanding AF speed and accuracy. The EOS R3 also offers a very interesting cutting-edge feature, namely Eye Control AF. This feature is able to allow users to select the focus point using eye movements via the Electronic View Finder (EVF).

With a refresh rate of up to 120 fps and 5.76 million dots, the OLED EVF provides users with the convenience of viewing shots with a natural look, as well as high brightness levels and a wide dynamic range. Users can also freely take pictures from various angles with the 3.2-inch Vari-angle touch LCD.
Canon continues to develop the EOS iTR (Intelligent Tracking & Recognition) AF X with deep-learning technology. In addition to the Eye Detection AF and Animal Detection AF features, the EOS R3 has a new feature that is highly coveted by automotive fast-action photography enthusiasts, namely Vehicle Priority AF.
Autofocus on the EOS R3 can detect fast-moving cars and motorcycles, for even more specific focus on the driver’s helmet. This camera also has AF detection up to EV -7.5 which really helps users get focus when shooting in low light conditions.
With an ISO range of 100-102,400 which can be increased up to 204,800, the new sensor on this camera also has the capability to shoot in low light conditions without worrying about noise at high ISO. The 24.1-megapixel resolution on this camera is 20% higher than the EOS-1DX Mark III and EOS R6, and its resolution performance exceeds that of the 30.4-megapixel EOS 5D Mark IV.

To meet the needs of professional video, the EOS R3 is also capable of recording videos in 6K 60p RAW or 4K 120p 10-bit format without cropping. Users can also get 4K 60p video which is of higher quality by oversampling from the 6K format. Canon Log 3 and HDR PQ 10bit 4:2:2 are also available to give users flexibility and ease in adapting various post-production workflows.
