Canoeing | Cadets and juniors French slalom championships. The Ancerville Junior Patrol

At the Argentière La Bessée

Thanks to its three leading clubs – in particular Golbey-Épinal-Saint-Nabord (GESN), which returns from the championships with nine charms – the Lorraine delegation ended this 2020 edition with fifteen medals on the clock. A good little harvest even if, by the admission of the main parties concerned, there was a way to do better, especially during the individual events.

“We are a little disappointed with the ranking of Théo, Tanguy and Jean-Charles, who made a few mistakes,” says Émilien Kempf, the Ancerville – Bar-le-Duc Canoë-Kayak (ABCK) coach, “but they sailed well and confirmed that they were able to go very fast. At this level, it’s encouraging ”.

Associated during the patrols, the three accomplices crushed the competition and won the gold medal in junior kayaking. An expected title which has been added to Zoé Laurent’s beautiful silver medal in a cadet canoe.

During these same club team events, GESN made a small raid, winning five bronze medals and a senior title thanks to the céiste Christophe Despres and the Latimier brothers, Jules and Hugo. A race in which the CKC Nancy-Tomblaine (Thibault Blaise, Elena Hugues and Thomas Lhuillier) rose to the third step of the podium.
