The “Wasenboje”, a container on the festival grounds, is intended to be a contact point especially for girls and women who need help. According to the project manager, there will also be a cell phone number that can be used to reach the “Wasenboje” employees.
New roller coaster «Crazy Mouse»
In addition to well-known rides such as the “Wild Mouse”, five attractions are celebrating their premiere this year: the “Crazy Mouse” roller coaster with rotating gondolas, the “Booster” carousel, and the two rides “Krumm- und Schiefbau” and “Heroes City XXL”. There will also be another lottery booth, the “Spiel-Palast”.
The second largest folk festival in the world is taking place for the 177th time this year. Around 300 showmen, innkeepers and market traders will be inviting people to the Wasen grounds on the banks of the Neckar from September 27th to October 13th. Over four million visitors are expected. Stuttgart’s mayor Frank Nopper (CDU) will traditionally open the festival on the opening day at 4 p.m. with the tapping of the keg in the “Grandls Hofbräu” tent.
