Caner Cindoruk, the fashionable Turkish actor after the success of ‘Woman’ and ‘Infiel’, visits Spain

The saying goes “let them talk about one, even if it’s bad”. In the case of Caner Cindoruk, which has recently been visiting Spain, we should keep the first part of the proverb. There has been talk, there is talk and, without a doubt, there will be a lot of talk about him. Is he undisputed trendy turkish actor after the unquestionable success of the two series he has starred in on Antena 3. Like the Sarp de ‘Woman‘ managed to kick off to the Turkish series in the prime time of the general networks and now, every sundayhead as the Volkan from ‘Unfaithful’the rankings of the most viewed broadcasts.

Of course, if the criticism towards the actor is practically unanimous in praising his good performance, in the case of his characters, the second part of the saying mentioned above should be applied. With Sarp he managed to divide the audience among those who considered a victim who deserved to be compensated and who believed that their moment had passed and he had to accept his new reality. However, with Volkan there are hardly any discrepancies and it would fit perfectly in the aforementioned “even if it’s bad” because he has earned a whole series of insults.

The unfaithful Volkan

All the admiration that the audience feels for Caner Cindoruk is directly proportional to the antipathy that Volkan Arslan arouses in ‘Unfaithful‘. From the beginning of the story co-starring with Cansu Dere, Volkan became the target of anger of the majority of the spectators.

Why? for unfaithfulby liar and by selfish. For being unfaithful for cheating on Asya. For being a liar for cheating on Derin. For selfish for thinking much more about him than about the feelings of those around him. Because, in the end, Volkan has cheated and hurt the two women in his life.

From the first moment we sympathize with Asya and with his strength to face and deal with betrayal. What she considered a perfect life was nothing but a lie and it will take us a while to forget his poise to make up for the humiliation suffered at the most unexpected, but most appropriate moment. Asya swallowed her tears, but she knew when she spit all the pain out of her to cause as much damage as possible.

And there we discover that Volkan could sink even lower. Not only had he cheated on his wife, but once discovered, pretended to be the victim and question Asya as a professional and as a mother. It will take time to forget her attempts to take custody of Ali and her accusations against the mother of her child, although it is fair to also recognize that at this point Asya also made serious mistakes.

Once signed the divorce and with Volkan and Derin living happily in the Americas, everything seemed calm, but Volkan is a volcano that has a hard time tolerating lethargy. AND went back. And he did it with loaded guns to destroy Asya. Each and every one of his initial steps was intended to return to his ex-wife all the damage previously received, starting, of course, by deteriorating the relationship that mother and son had built in recent times.

However soon we realized that one thing was what Volkan said and another what he did. She said she wanted revenge. She said she wanted to get her son back. She said that her recurring visits to her former home were to make up for lost time with Ali. But very soon we understood that her wishes were others.

Volkan returned again and again to that house for Asya. Volkan kept insisting on seeing Ali to see Asya. Volkan invented a thousand excuses to spend time with Ali to spend time with Asya. Why? Because Volkan could never forget Asya. Because, if it had been up to him, he would never have divorced her. Because Volkan would have kept sine die the status quo of his double life: an idyllic married life with Asya and an intense passionate affair with Derin.

And now? Well now Volkan seems to imply that he has thrown in the towel. She has succumbed to Derin’s “pregnancy” and has given Asya a break. Of course, after an intense conversation that, probably, would have been more necessary and effective three years ago when her marriage was blown up and when Asya herself gave her the opportunity to confess what she had to confess. But Volkan was silent then and that was his condemnation.

Of course, we cannot lose sight of the fact that everything is a strategy devised by Selcuk (Who would have thought that the “blonde” would end up being the sentimental adviser of “Volki Tolki”?). If so, do you have hope?

Turgay remains a cloud in Volkan’s plans, although Asya seems to have doomed him to the friendzone and there is no progress on the horizon. Derin keeps the leash tight even with tricks and lies.

But, the big problem for Volkan is that Asya turned the page a long time ago and doesn’t seem to have any intention of retrieving that book from the shelf and reopening it to the chapter where she left off.

Sarp’s bad luck

As for Sarp, it’s been a few months since we fired him and, if we think back, probably the first thing that comes to mind is the bad luck that followed him along the her participation in ‘Woman’.

The point to his misfortunes was his nothing casual encounter with his sister-in-law. Sirin was the real kryptonite of Sarp, although we cannot lose sight of the perverse influence of Roman pears at key moments in his life. Because every time Sarp took a step towards his happiness, his sister-in-law, the pears or both together crossed his path.

Sarp ‘died’ the first time on that ferry thanks to Sirin what accused him of abusing her. Steep he was unable to reunite with his family thanks to Sirin who lied about the death of Bahar and her children. Sarp lost her perfect husband aura thanks to Sirin who pretended to be in a relationship with him. Sarp died a second time thanks to Sirin.

In short, Sarp’s guardian angel had a lot of work to do. He was very efficient on many occasions (How many people would have managed to survive after falling off a ferry in the Bosphorus in the middle of the night?), but he also had a tendency to forgetfulness (he saves his life and gets him into a fight with the “boyfriend” of Piril who ends up shot?). And, above all, he had neither the strength nor the energy nor the power to counteract Sirin’s alliance with the dark side.

From this point of view, sarp wasdefinitely, the great victim of ‘Woman’. Whatever happened, whatever he did, he always lost out. He seemed condemned to live in a constant struggle and permanent to recover that life that was taken from him, but no matter how hard he fought, something always happened that would leave him out of his family again.

Yes indeed, Sarp also made more than one mistake and on several occasions his attitude was questionable. Evidently he did not walk away from Bahar for pleasure, but his eagerness to recover what had been lost made it somehow lose perspective and, on occasions, it seems to live in a kind of parallel reality where time has not passed or, simply, that vital parenthesis has disappeared.

He he remade his life with Piril. And he was within his rights to do so since he believed his wife and children had died. It was understandable that she was trying to move on and, in fact, Bahar never held her against her new marriage or his new fatherhood. What’s more, she always opted for integration, for trying to be a great family.

However, Sarp did not have that generosity with Bahar. Her she had to accept the new reality of her husbandbut Sarp did not tolerate the presence of Arif in the life of your family. It is logical that Sarp wanted to recover his own, but, on more than one occasion, his steps to achieve it were more than questionable, such as trying to force family meetings or using his children to get closer to Bahar.

Finally, Sarp achieved his dream. Achievement win back his wife. For a few hours, they went back to being the happy, accomplice couple they had been, but Sirin decided that it was not Sarp’s destiny to be happy.

In short, Sarp and Volkan share not only the attractive face of Caner Cindoruk, but also a fateful fate that condemns them to live apart from the woman they love. One, by a constant and continuous succession of events determined by bad luck and a bad person. The other, by a constant and continuous succession of bad decisions. The end of one was tragic and dramatic. The end of the other is still pending writing. And, of course, the spectators will be very attentive every Sunday to discover if Volkan manages to re-enter the fortress that he longs for so much or if the last door slam he has received has been the definitive one.
