Canelo vs. Munguía: Saúl Álvarez affirms that he is not going to play matatena | TUDN Boxing

“I feel excited, very happy that we are close to the time, we had a great preparation, thank my entire team for their support throughout the camp, everyone expect a great Mexican fight and Viva México, thank you very much” commented the Tijuana native and Canelo’s challenger.

Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez expressed absolute respect for Jaime Munguía, stating that he sees himself as a winner on Saturday and that he will retain the four belts that are in dispute.

“Thank you all for being here, as always well prepared, with a lot of enthusiasm, happy with this fight of two Mexicans fighting for the four titles, happy for that, I come to win, it’s going to be a great fight, we respect each other below the ring, “but it doesn’t mean that we come to play matatena, on Saturday we are going to win decisively.”

The T-Mobile Arena will open its doors to receive the pair of Mexicans who will enter the ring, in a fight agreed to last 12 episodes and in which the four unified titles of ‘Canelo’ Álvarez corresponding to 168 pounds will be disputed.
