Libreville, Monday August 7, 2023 (Info Gabon) – The summons concerns the 19 contenders for the Libreville seaside palace and those in the running for the local elections in the provinces of Ogooué-Ivindo, Ogooué-Lolo, Ogooué-Maritime and Woleu- Ntem.
The presidential candidates as well as those running for the local elections in the provinces of Ogooué-Ivindo, Ogooué-Lolo, Ogooué-Maritime and Woleu-Ntem are expected until tomorrow Tuesday at the headquarters of the Gabonese Elections Center (CGE) for validation of the “ready to print” ballot papers.
This summons of extreme urgency comes at a time when the body in charge of the elections intends to set the course for the printing of ballot papers. The launch of the campaign is scheduled for August 11 for the presidential election and the 16 of the same month for the legislative and local elections. The electoral campaign for the three polls will end on August 25, 2023.
