It’s a potentially legendary year that could be inducted into Springfield’s Basketball Hall of Fame on August 12, 2023. Indeed, Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade, Gregg Popovich and Pau Gasol – just to name a few – announced today as officially eligible to enter basketball heaven!
The ceremony could be remembered.
Every year, the Hall of Fame opens its doors and a wide variety of cuvées are presented. There are courses like 2020 that send out steaks (Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett) and others that do it a little less.
The 2023 vintage? Be careful, because as Marc Stein of New York Times broadcast via his Twitter account, the level may be new:
- Tony Parker
- Greg Popovich
- Dirk Nowitzki
- Dwyane Wade
- Paul Gasol
- Becky Hammon
Just that ! Suitable files, therefore applications that will have to be validated in the coming months during the official selection that will be announced as spring approaches.
But on paper we are about a group of football legends, on and off the pitch.
Class of 2023 Hall of Fame inductees announced today include: Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade, Tony Parker, Pau Gasol, Gregg Popovich and Becky Hammon.

There’s no need to introduce Tony Parker, the French would be the first to enter the pantheon of basketball players.
Of his generation? More big boys. We obviously think of Pau Gasol, from the same Draft (2001) and with whom he has often fought on the international scene.
Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade, also legendary, have faced each other many times, including two in the NBA Finals, with the Mavs and the Heat.
Gregg Popovich and Becky Hammon, arm in arm for years in the NBA, would also be entitled to their entry but for different rows, Becky we imagine for her immense career in the WNBA, and Pop for her successes on the bench as a coach.
Next step ? The validation of these beautiful files in a few months, an official announcement from the Springfield Hall of Fame and an appointment set by the entire basketball planet on August 12, 2023!
