“Cancun Anniversary Parade 2023: Thousands Celebrate the Growth of the City”

Cancun, QR, April 22, 2023.- As part of the celebrations for the 53rd Anniversary of Cancun, the Municipal President, Ana Paty Peralta, surrounded by thousands of Benito Juarenses, proudly walked down Tulum Avenue, in the already traditional “Cancunenses Parade”, which was joined by more than 13 thousand people, including girls, boys, young people and adults, in a single multicolored celebration around the city.

With a contingent made up of 9 blocks: War Band, Cancun Yesterday and Today, Cultural Cancun, Tourist Cancun, Young Cancun, Sports Cancun, Inclusive Cancun, Cancun unites us and Motorcycle Club; the First Municipal Authority led the march, leaving from Av. Chichén Itzá with Tulum, in the direction of Parque de Las Palapas.

“Thanks to the pioneers, forgers and founders for what they did, what they do and how much they can still give to Cancun. May Cancun pride and love for this land be what unites us for the next decades and be the engine that drives us to join efforts to build the best version of our city,” said Ana Paty Peralta proudly, at the closing of Anniversary celebrations.

With shouts, applause and a lot of emotion, joy overflowed in one of the main avenues of the city, in a party held by Cancunenses for Cancunenses, which during 10 days full of events, celebrated the growth of one of the most important cities in the world. country and the world.

Together with the First Mayor, girls and boys dressed as their favorite superheroes walked, as well as thousands of athletes of all ages, champions in different disciplines, fathers and mothers of families with their children, as well as older adults in typical regional costumes. , dancing and many people from Cancun enjoying and living together in the same identity.

The parade started with classic cars in the block “Cancún de ayer y hoy”, which was also attended by members of the associations of pioneers, founders and forgers of the city; while “Cultural Cancun” was made up of floats, dance schools, queens and kings of the Cancun Carnival 2023, as well as mariachis; They were followed by children who receive medical assistance through the Telethon, representatives of the LGBTTIQ+ community, consulates in the city and associations of states in Cancun, in the section: “Diverse Cancun”.

Confederate workers from the tourism industry, unions and associations of the same union, foreigners and representatives of consulates accredited in Cancun in the block called “Cancún turístico” also joined the course, in which the Municipal President interpreted the melody “El sol no return”, to a local band; children and young people from scout groups as well as students from different schools and universities, in “Young Cancun”; athletes from various disciplines and players from Cancún FC, in “Cancún sportsman”.

Finally, in the final section that was “Cancún unites us”, public servants of the Benito Juárez City Hall and members of the H.
