Cancer ruined her career, Libuška Šafránková lives in seclusion and takes care of her family

She was beautiful, kind and talented. The acting world and the men lay at her feet. However, she gave her heart to only one, with whom she remained all her life. Together with the actor Josef Abrhám, he now takes care of his four grandchildren and tries to stay as helpful as possible to his family, despite the insidious illness. That is the most important thing for her.

More than fifty years ago, actress Libuška Šafránková became famous for her famous Moskalyk adaptation of Grandmother, where she played Barunka. Then came the fairy tale Three Nuts for Cinderella, thanks to which she became a star both in our country and in Germany and Norway. This was followed by other roles that made the beautiful girl an actress of the first size.

Let’s remember, for example, legendary films such as The Village Has a Center, Wonderful Years Under the Dog, Kolja or Obecná škola, where Libuška played important roles and it should be noted that absolutely great. She showed that she is not only beautiful, but also very talented.

Unfortunately, everything is different over time. She does not choose the disease and it also affected Šafránková. She is said to have been suffering from lung cancer for several years. However, the actress does not communicate with the public or the media about her illness, she withdrew into seclusion and takes care of her family, which she loves infinitely.

Life partner and support Josef Abrhám

She is also supported in everything by her husband, actor Josef Abrhám, who is her life partner. Together they have a son, Josef, who has already had two marriages and brought two children into the family from each. Libuška thus has four grandchildren. Josef’s eldest grandson, who was followed by Antonín. From her current marriage to businesswoman Lída, her son has a daughter Laura and a small son of kindergarten age. Libuška tries to be an exemplary grandmother for all her grandchildren.

The German press also informed about the actress’ illness, which mentioned several times that the nation’s darling suffers from insidious lung cancer and that he hopes that the Czech Republic will recover, because it would be a great loss for both countries. Šafránková did not comment on these articles either, she even asked the public to respect her privacy, but she also thanked everyone who thought of her at this difficult time and sent her energy.

A serious illness excluded the actress from her work process

People were convinced that the actress was really bothered by something and it was nothing trivial, thanks to the fact that she did not show up to receive the award from President Miloš Zeman, who had just three golden nuts ready for her. In the end, they were taken over by her daughter Mirka. However, Libuška was very happy with the award.

Fortunately, after a while, it began to look like it was flashing for better times. Libuška gave an interview here and there, in which she revealed that her health is improving and that she is feeling well. However, he does not want to return to the cameras, he prefers to enjoy taking care of his family and especially his grandchildren. The illness actually ruined her career.
