Cancellation of the 4th day of regattas due to lack of wind during the America’s Cup

Luna Rossa and Team New Zealand were unable to do battle for their fourth head-to-head in Auckland Harbor. The wind decided otherwise. The 7th and 8th races between the title holders and the Italian challenge, so far tied with 3 wins each, will take place on Monday.

Foiling boats, which sail above the surface of the water, need a wind of at least 6.5 knots to be propelled. The first team to seven wins wins the America’s Cup, held every four years.
