Gal Gadot is trending on Twitter today. Users of the social medium seem to have turned against the actress, following the reaction she gave to the deadly and rapidly escalating conflict underway between Israel and Palestine.
Gadot, who is of Israeli descent, shared a report about the crisis unfolding there. She indicated that she has one “broken heart” has as a result of “a vicious circle that goes on for far too long”. She also wrote that “Israel has the right to live as a free and secure nation” on “our neighbors deserve the same”. She also prays “that the unimaginable hostilities end”.

Major criticism
Although the actress calls for peace and wants a solution to be found quickly, some people apparently do not think that is good enough. They think Gadot implicitly supports the violence.
In addition, critics point to the fact that Gadot served (compulsory) for two years in the Israeli army. It may be clear that there is a lot of anger:

She served in the Israeli Defence Forces and took part in killing innocent Palestinians.
Then made a statement showing “sympathy” for them.
Maybe she forgot about the innocent children being set on fire? Or grenades being thrown into a Mosque?

For the time being, the criticism does not seem to have direct consequences for the actress. She is associated with a slew of new big movies over the next few years.
