The Canary Islands step on the accelerator in the vaccination plan against COVID19 and now exceeds one million doses administered (1,011,610 doses), as confirmed by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands. Of those figures, 316,361 people have already received the two injections of the vaccine and have completed their vaccination schedule; it is about 16.91% of the target population is estimated at 1,871,033 people.
Meanwhile, the Archipelago there is already 719,526 people who have received at least one dose of the vaccine, that is, 38.46 percent of the target population. In addition, after the launch of the canariassevacuna.com website, in which people over 16 years of age can fill out a form in order to request an appointment to be vaccinated, the department headed by Blas Trujillo confirms that, to date, already they have registered 255,000 people.
Mass vaccination campaign
The President of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, and the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, will present this Friday an advertising campaign of the Ministry of Health to promote mass vaccination against COVID-19.
According to the regional Executive, it is an act that will be held at the headquarters of the Presidency of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where Torres will be, while the intervention of the minister will be telematically from Tenerife.
