About six hundred young people, of both sexes, received on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 October, their diplomas at the end of two two years of studies at the Professional Training Center of Haiti, Canado-techique. These young people, from the 44th promotion called “Warriors” are equipped and ready to launch their careers.
Pétion-Ville, October 7, 2021. The Haitian Vocational Training Center (CFPH), better known as Canado-techique, has just put around 600 young people, of both sexes, on the job market.
They received their diplomas on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 October, after two years of training in Electro-Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance Mechanics, IT and Telecommunications.
Started with the thanksgiving pronounced by the Reverend Father Gilbert Peltrop, the ceremony of this Thursday was the occasion for the general director of Canado-techique, the brother Gary Pierre, to salute the courage of these young people for having consented to ‘huge sacrifices in order to complete their studies.
They faced the health crisis, in connection with the Covid-19, the socio-political unrest but also the climate of insecurity prevailing in the country, affirms Brother Pierre, stressing that these young people well deserve their name of “Warriors”.
They are ready, equipped and able to integrate the labor market both in Haiti and abroad, said the director general of the center.
Words just as laudatory as made by Pascal Montroisy and the engineer, architect Elizabeth Coicou, respectively godfather and godmother of the 44th class of Canado-techique.
They encouraged the recipients to continue to advance, with courage, on the path of life, strewn with pitfalls, they recall.
Stacy Camilus, on behalf of the promotion, thanked all those who helped them reach this milestone, whether they were their parents, teachers or even the administrative staff of the CFPH.
Your efforts will not be in vain and we will move forward with confidence in the fierce and competitive labor market, she acknowledged. To this end, we have acquired the necessary skills, she says.
The ceremony was marked by the presentation of plaques of honor and the “Lucien Durand” prize to several personalities, including members of the teaching and administrative staff, among others, Ms. Danielle Morin for her dynamism and professionalism.
