Canadian team goes on strike, cancels friendly

The Canadian team of football The men’s team had a friendly match against Panama scheduled for today (5), at 8 pm, but the game, which would be in Vancouver, was canceled due to a strike by the squad, which calls for improvements in the administration of football in the country.

Journalist Rick Westhead states that “the team went on strike over player compensation issues”. On Twitter, the Canadian Football Federation only reported that the match was cancelled.

“The Canada Men’s National Football Team international friendly scheduled for Sunday, June 5 at BC Place has been cancelled. Additional details will be provided to all ticket purchasers,” the federation wrote on Twitter.
