Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the country’s joining the coalition to train Ukrainians on F-16 fighter jets.

Details: “We will send instructors to train Ukrainian pilots and support personnel on the F-16 to maximize their use of the transferred fighters,” Trudeau announced.
Trudeau’s statement was part of the announcement long-term military support to Ukraine in the amount of 483 million US dollarswhich will include 50 armored vehicles.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Canada has provided almost $7.3 billion in military, economic and humanitarian assistance to Kyiv.
The Canadian government has also imposed numerous sanctions against the Russian Federation, deployed Canadian forces to Europe to train Ukrainian soldiers, and hosted more than 175,000 Ukrainians.
As reported, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky arrived on an unannounced visit to Canada after visiting the United States, where he met with US President Joe Biden.
During the talks, the leaders of Ukraine and Canada discussed Ukraine’s defense needs, further financial and humanitarian support for Kyiv, as well as economic and investment cooperation.
As is known, Ukrainian pilots have already started training on F-16 fighters in Denmark. It is also known that Greece and Portugal will join in training Ukrainians on the F-16. The decision to transfer F-16s to Ukraine has already been announced Denmark, The Netherlands and Norway.
