The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) informed the National Service for Animal Quality and Health (Senacsa) that all the recommendations made during the audit of the beef inspection system and animal health controls in Paraguay carried out at the end of 2022 were complied with.
In the official communication from the Canadian organization it is mentioned that all responses to these recommendations are considered and accepted and are closed. In this way, the health equivalence between both countries is confirmed.
The next steps are the approval of the health certificate and the approval of the list of establishments eligible for the export of boneless beef.
Finally, the statement issued by the national veterinary service states that, after these latest procedures, the first shipments will be authorized to leave in the coming weeks.
