Canadian filmmaker Jean-Marc Valais dies at the age of 58

The director died at his home near Quebec; the cause of death has not yet been revealed.

Jean-Marc Valley was born and raised in the Canadian city of Montreal, where he studied filmmaking.

Initially, he made music videos and short films that earned critical acclaim. Vale’s full-length debut, the 1995 thriller, was also a success “Black list”.
