Canadian actor Nick Cordero swept away by COVID-19

Cordero, who grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, died at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles where he had been hospitalized for more than three months, according to his wife Amanda Kloots.

Nick Cordero entered the emergency room on March 30 after developing several complications from the coronavirus, including stroke, blood clots and infections. He was connected to an artificial respirator and a temporary pacemaker was also implanted. Her right leg was amputated and a double lung transplant was planned.

Nominated for the Tony Prizes, which recognize the best Broadway productions, Nick Cordero was known for playing leather toughs in Broadway productions. He notably held roles in Waitress, A Bronx Tale and Bullets Over Broadway.
