Canada will import bees from Ukraine, the Canadian Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy has announced.
The National Food and Consumer Service and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) have agreed on the form of veterinary certificate for the export of beehives from Ukraine to Canada.
It was the result of the careful cooperation of the competent authorities of the two countries with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Canadian Embassy in Ukraine. This certificate allows Ukrainian producers to export to Canada not only queen bees, but also live bees.
In addition, a month ago, the Canadian market was opened for Ukrainian producers of poultry meat and poultry products. At the same time, the export of fish products from Ukraine to Turkey was allowed.
Let us remind you that in May 2022, Canada canceled all customs duties on Ukrainian products for one year, supporting the initiative of the EU countries and Great Britain to involve the Ukrainian economy in their industrial and trade chains.
